National Consultation on Ethical Considerations for Research in Public Health

IIHMR Delhi hosted a significant national consultation as part of the three-day workshop on Community Engagement & Ethics in Implementation Research, organized in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) from 14–16 October 2025 in Delhi.

During the event, IIHMR Delhi led a distinguished panel on “Ethical Considerations for Research in Vulnerable Populations.” The discussion brought together experienced practitioners and public health experts to examine the key ethical gaps and challenges involved in engaging vulnerable groups in public health programmes, medical research, and clinical trials.

The panel emphasized the need for responsible research practices, adherence to the Government of India’s ethical guidelines, and a stronger focus on safeguarding the rights, dignity, and well-being of vulnerable communities. The consultation highlighted IIHMR Delhi’s commitment to advancing ethical, community-centric research in public health.
