Nishikant Bele is a Digital Health and Health Informatics professional with over 26+ years of experience spanning digital technologies, healthcare management, health information systems, data analytics, business intelligence, academic leadership, research, and institutional digital transformation.
He is currently serving as Associate Professor at the International Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), New Delhi, where he contributes to postgraduate education, curriculum development, research, healthcare analytics, digital health, health information technology, and management education.
From 2020 to 2023, he served as Information Technologist with the South-East Asia Regional Coordination Mechanism Forum (SRCMF), New Delhi, on deputation from IIHMR. This experience provided exposure to the application of information technology, data, digital systems, and technology-enabled approaches in public health and regional health programmes.
His professional expertise combines healthcare domain knowledge with information technology, business analytics, data management, digital health enterprise systems, and digital transformation. His areas of interest include Digital Health, Health Information Systems, Hospital Information Systems, Healthcare Analytics, Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Healthcare, Health Data Management, Digitalization of Hospital Services, and technology-enabled healthcare delivery.
He has undertaken and contributed to research related to digitalization of hospital services, healthcare operations, healthcare technology, machine learning, text mining, data analytics, and digital health innovations.
With a background in Ph.D. and MCA, combined with extensive academic, research, technology, and healthcare-sector experience, he is well positioned to contribute to digital health programmes involving health system digital transformation, HIS/HMIS implementation, healthcare process digitization, data and analytics, digital health strategy, capacity building, monitoring and evaluation, and technology-enabled health services.
