Dr. Shikha Bassi

Assistant Professor

Dr. Shikha Bassi is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the International Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), Delhi. Prior to this, she held important roles, including Manager (Executive and FPM Programs) and Assistant Manager – Training at IIHMR Delhi. She has an experience of around 20 years in the field of healthcare, including her tenure at The Leprosy Mission Trust India.

Dr. Bassi holds a PhD, MBA and a Post Graduate Diploma in Health and Hospital Management. She has also completed the Innovation Ambassador Training (Foundation Level and Advanced Level) conducted by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE during 2022–23. Also participated in IIC Regional Meet organised by Amity NOIDA on November 23, 2023.

 In addition, she has obtained the Green Lean Awareness Certification and Bronze Certification in Lean Healthcare from Simpler, Quality Council of India, and Cardiff University, UK.

Dr. Bassi has been actively involved in coordinating the Executive and Fellow Program in Management at IIHMR Delhi. She has played a pivotal role in developing and managing training and capacity-building initiatives, with a focus on hospital management, healthcare management, and webinars related to innovation and entrepreneurship. These initiatives were conducted in collaboration with various sponsoring agencies across countries such as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Myanmar, and Tanzania.

She has been actively engaged in research activities and has contributed to several significant projects. In addition, she has co-authored a chapter in a book and published research papers in national journals. 

Her areas of interest include Hospital Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management in Healthcare, Legal and Ethical Issues in Healthcare, and Innovation in Healthcare.

  • October 2025 – Present: Team Member, Implementation Framework for Adolescent-Responsive Health Systems in the WHO South-East Asia Region (2025–2030), funded by WHO-SEARO.
