Dr Altaf Yousuf is a Medical Graduate and Postgraduate in Hospital Administration, holding a PhD in Hospital Management. He is a certified NABH Internal Auditor - QCI. More than 20 years of rich industry cum academic experience in the fields of Hospital Administration, Medical & Nursing Administration, Clinical & and Non- clinical operations, Planning and design, Infection Control practices, Budgeting, Procurement, Finance, Business Development, P&L management, Logistics & SCM- Pharmaceutics & Medical Devices, Inventory & Legal aspects, HMIS – EHR, Medical Records, Medical device and Drugs- Budgeting and Planning, Human Resources – Recruitment & Selection, Quality Accreditation programs - NQAS, NABH & NABL, Kayakalp, laQshya, Quality Audits.
He is a life member of the AHA, an Associate Quality Member - CAHO & AHQP, and a Fellow Member in the Leadership Forum - AHPI.
Dr. Yousuf worked in the Apollo Hospitals Group in different capacities for more than four years, and he worked as an AMS for almost nine years at a 1500-plus-bedded PT. J.N.M Medical College Hospital & Regional Cancer Institute. As Sr. Consultant, he was associated with the State Health Resource Centre- SHRC, A Technical Support to the MoH FW, Govt. of C.G.
Dr. Yousuf has expertise in Hospital Operations and workflow, Revenue growth and finance, Strategic Management, HR Practices, Quality & Patient Safety, Procurement, Logistics & SCM, Audits and Infection Control, Planning and designing of new hospitals and upgradation of existing hospitals.
During his career, Dr. Yousuf has taken many assignments in Quality & Patient Safety - NABH NQAS, LaQshya, Kayakalp Assessment of Hospitals & Accreditation. Revenue Growth - CAPEX, OPEX, ROI, ARPOB, Recruitment & Selection of HR, In Planning & Design undertaken both greenfield projects – 300 Bedded MCH Block, The Apollo Clinic- Apollo Hospitals Group, 75-bedded Integrated ICUs, Onco-Surgery unit - Ward/ ICU/ O.T / LINIAC - Radiation Oncology, Autopsy room - Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Manifold & Two new Oxygen generation Plants - PSA during COVID 19 and Brownfield Projects – 50 Bedded Trauma Unit- OT, 10 Bedded observation ward, 10 bedded GICU, 30 Bedded HDU, Modular Labour room and10 Bedded PICU - Gynae and Obstetrics and Neonatology, ECHO & Cardiac Cath Lab, CVTS - OT, cardiac & CVTS - ICU/ wards - Advance cardiac Institute, DR/CR/Lithotripsy- Radiology, Manifold Room, Central Drug Store, Developed an in-house HMIS system for the 1500-plus-bedded Hospital.
